Lewis Talking About MP4-26
Lewis Hamilton says his McLaren car's main issue is a lack of downforce, although the Briton is hopeful the team will be able to sort some of its problems before the start of the season.

McLaren's new challenger has not been among the strongest during winter testing so far, with the team also hindered by problems that have not allowed its drivers to run as much as hoped.
Hamilton said the MP4-26 was not as bad as the team's 2009 machine, with which he struggled at the start of the season, but admitted it is currently lacking performance.

"The '09 was terrible because the car was hopping, three-wheeling through corners, it was locking up, and it had no downforce," Hamilton told Reuters.
"This doesn't lock up, it doesn't three-wheel and it handles really nice, better than last year's car, but it just doesn't have as much downforce...so that's where it feels weak...Hopefully we've got some more downforce coming onto the car before the first race."

Lewis On His Nascar Swap

McLaren's 2008 Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton and NASCAR's double title winner Tony Stewart may swap cars later in the year as part of a promotional event for a mutual sponsor.
"It's an event that potentially we will be doing," Hamilton told Reuters, emphasising it was still in the planning stages.
Reports in America have said the event was likely to take place at Watkins Glen during the summer.
The 26-year-old Briton said he and Stewart had recently done some filming together in a studio where they good-naturedly bad-mouthed each other's cars.
"It was like 'You can't even drive those things. What is it? It's a tin top, like a can," said Hamilton. "He was like 'What is that? You can't even see over the steering wheel, you're like a child'. It was cool."
Hamilton made clear he had little serious interest in NASCAR, the most popular form of motor racing in the United States with Colombia's former Formula One driver Juan Pablo Montoya now a series regular.
Former McLaren driver Montoya and four times NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon drove each other's cars in a similar swap in 2003, years before the Colombian made the career switch, with the American impressing Montoya's then-team Williams.
"I'm not massively interested in it, to be honest," said Hamilton after a day at an airfield circuit in southern England where he gave reporters high speed 'taxi rides' in the new McLaren MP4-12C sportscar.
"I saw the steering wheel and it didn't look spectacular," he said of Stewart's Number 14 Chevrolet Impala. "It's not very hi-tech, I would say. I've got a huge amount of respect still for the drivers though."
Formula One currently has only one race in North America, the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal in June, but is due to return to the United States from 2012 with a race at a new circuit in Austin, Texas.

Lewis Close to New Management
Lewis Hamilton is close to announcing the management team who will guide his career over the next few years.
It is now 12 months since Hamilton stunned Formula One by ditching father Anthony as his manager.
Asked whether an appointment was imminent, Hamilton told Press Association Sport: "I definitely am closer."
Anthony had previously been by Lewis' side every step of the way, from his early days in karting onto becoming F1 world champion in 2008.
The stunning decision effectively left Hamilton rudderless through last season, but after a year under his own steam, he is poised to finally allow a third party to act for him.
IMG, who include Tiger Woods and Roger Federer on their books, along with Simon Fuller who has been long-time manager of the Beckhams, are the two leading contenders.
Hamilton added: "Nothing has been signed or fully firmed up, which is why I've not announced anything.
"But I'm really hopeful in the next week or so we have an announcement for you guys, definitely before Australia (the grand prix from March 25-27)."
Admitting there were two companies in the running, Hamilton added: "One is 85%, and the other is still hanging in there.
"It's a big decision to sign with someone for a period of time, but I'm confident with what I'm going to do, and you'll find out very soon."
